The Sims 2 University is the first expansion pack for the Sims 2 life simulation game. Combined with two stuff packs, Teen Style Stuff and IKEA Home Stuff, The University Life Collection lets you send your teenage Sims off to college and decorate their dorm rooms in style.

The University expansion pack features a new life stage for Sims: young adult. When you decide to send a teen Sim to college, they automatically age up to the young adult stage as soon as they arrive on campus. The stage lasts until they graduate and become fully mature adults, ready to tackle the world.

At college Sims must choose a major and attend classes, but first they have to decide whether to live in a dorm, a private residence, or a fraternity or sorority. There's plenty of time for socializing at college too, and new interactions give your Sims more socialization options than ever. There are also new musical instruments for Sims to learn to play, plus new music stations on the radio: Jazz and College Rock.

After graduation, Sims can choose from any of the careers from the Sims 2 or from the four new careers that come with the University expansion pack: Artist, Natural Science, Paranormal or Show Business.

The Teen Style Stuff pack comes with new objects in three distinct styles: Goth, Sport and Socialite. Items include new electronics, wall hangings, clothing and new songs for the Metal radio station.

The IKEA Home Stuff pack contains real IKEA items made for your Sims’ homes. Bedroom, living room and kitchen furniture and décor is stylish and very affordable.

The University Life collection is a great deal on one of the most popular Sims 2 expansion packs plus two stuff packs.

Pros

  • Super low price for three Sims 2 packs.
  • New careers, musical instruments and interactions expand gameplay greatly.

Cons

  • Stuff packs have few items and offer less than expansion pack.
  • Takes a long time for Sims to graduate from college; can't play homeworld while Sim is at college.
